A 5-inch freestyle FPV kit with DJI digital video

This is the same freestyle formula as the analog 5-inch kit — 6S, five-inch props, a frame built to be crashed and rebuilt — with DJI's O4 digital system in place of the analog link. It is the most expensive kit on this site, and whether that is worth it comes down to one question: are you flying for the feeling, or for the footage?

Digital wins decisively on footage. The picture in the goggles is sharp enough to read detail at distance, and what the goggles record is genuinely publishable rather than a grainy reference track you overlay with separate action-camera video later. For anyone who intends to post what they fly, that alone often settles it.

What you give up is latency and failure behaviour. Digital adds a small but real delay, and when the link finally gives out it tends to do so abruptly rather than fading, which is a worse warning system when you are deep into a line. Racers avoid it for exactly these reasons; freestyle pilots mostly accept the trade.

The quad here arrives with the O4 air unit already fitted, so unlike some of the other digital kits on this site there is no separate air unit to buy or install. Goggles, air unit and quad are the same system end to end.
